ImageHi everyone! A few quick odds and ends came through the mailbox so I thought I'd get them up while I eat my lunch.

Callaway Golf is offering a $100 mail in rebate on their X-22 and X-22 Tour irons. We got a lot of positive feedback on these this year and they seemed to pop up in a lot of reader email. Looks like this rebate is only open to U.S. residents. Have a look at it on the Callaway Golf website for more details.

Penley is giving away an ET2 shaft. The draw will take place on November 25th and you can find all the details here.

I think I have time for a quick email too. Stephen writes...

Hi, wanted to get you opinion on which club is better, the CB2 or the XCG. I'm a point and shoot player looking to get the ball down the fairway, no shot shaping. I do have an 8 HC, play often, and am a very consistent ball striker, with a slow smooth swing tempo. What are your recommendations?

I'm a big fan of Tour Edge Exotics fairway woods... I play one myself. I've found the last few (CB2 and XCG) to be pretty close in terms of performance. I had a chance to hit both up against my own T.E.E. fairway (the original one) over the summer and found the results to be very close. I'd say the XCG is maybe a bit more forgiving but it's not by a huge amount. Try both (even try the original if you can find it) and I think you'll see all things are pretty equal. It might come down to a looks thing in the end. Thanks for the email!

That's all for now... lunch break is over! Back to work...
