Even if you’re not a football fan, you’ll probably want to tune into halftime during the Monday Night Football game on Oct 15th. Phil Mickelson will be attempting to win some money for charity during the KPMG Chip4Charity event.
This is actually a pretty cool idea. They’re constructing a “green” in one end zone and Phil will be attempting to hit it from the other end of the field. The closer he gets to the pin, the more money the charity will receive. If he knocks it within 5 feet, First Book will walk away with a cool million dollars.
I’m not the biggest Phil fan but I hope he does well and makes some money for this very worthy cause. He’s one of the best from that distance so I’m sure he’ll be alright.
As a promo leading up to the event, the Chargers have been getting some of their players to try their luck from 100 yards out. Good thing these shots don’t count…
